On behalf of our client, an Ultra-Luxury Resort in Dubai, UWORC is recruiting a Waiter/Waitress for a permanent placement.

The Role:

To provide quality of food and beverage service that is consistent with SOP at all times. To support and assist the Waiter in delivering exceptional service to all guests. This includes running the food service from the kitchen to the restaurant, clearing tables and sections, liaising with the stewarding team on washing, polishing, storing, refiling stations, setting back of house mise en place, setting tables, serving food, completing opening and closing duties and adhering to sanitation and safety standards (ISO).

Key Responsibilities:

  • To maintain a positive can-do attitude at all times.
  • Complete tasks as given by supervisors or managers.
  • Support other outlets when necessary and ensure to perform as per standards.
  • Always keep the service philosophy pillars in mind.
  • To ensures that all colleagues activities adhere to and support the Atlantis Quality Standards.
  • Provides a link between kitchen and service areas.
  • Serve food or beverages to patrons, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required.
  • Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.
  • Clean tables or counters after patrons have finished dining.
  • Set Cutlery, set up food stations or set up dining areas to prepare for the next shift or for large parties.
  • Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, crockery, cutlery and glassware.
  • Updates food and beverages knowledge required to carry out duties.
  • Provides advice on food and beverage to quests.
  • Receives and stores food and beverage adhering to all food hygiene regulations and procedures.
  • Consistently monitors quality of food and beverage being served and report to the supervisor or assistant outlet manager.
  • Need to be punctual to work.
  • Actively uses up-selling techniques to exceed guests' expectations and increase revenue.
  • Read and understand the important note and briefing topic every day.
  • Do not leave the allocated section without prior approval of the immediate supervisor.
  • Actively take part in restaurant set-up, clearance (Bussing).
  • Follow superior instruction, contact manager if you are not completely convinced with the immediate supervisor's instruction.
  • Actively take part in food and beverage support requirement.
  • Actively take part and ensure to follow SOS and SOP of the particular department.
  • Need to be honest and responsible for his/her action.
  • Take responsibility of his/her weekly task given by immediate supervisor.
  • Take responsibility of the department equipment and control the breakage and loses to maximize the department profit.
  • Utilize the learning from internal or external trainings.
  • Need to be flexible to work in different Job Specification in his/her own department.

  • Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a high-end or luxury dining establishment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage menus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure gracefully.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • UAE experience and understanding of local customs is highly desirable.
