Company leader in its sector, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, and support the company's financial processes.
The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting and taxation expertise, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage financial responsibilities while ensuring full compliance with Greek accounting standards and tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Coordinate supplier payments, payroll-related payments, and other financial obligations through e-banking systems.
- Monitor bank transactions, cash flow, and monthly financial reconciliations.
- Supervise invoice processing, expense recording, and accounting documentation.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation of myDATA records with the company's accounting system.
- Manage accounting activities using SoftOne ERP, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Oversee monthly reconciliations between commercial and general accounting modules.
- Monitor supplier and customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate financial records.
- Monitor and oversee all tax-related obligations, ensuring compliance with Greek tax legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Review and verify tax calculations, VAT returns, and other statutory tax filings to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors on taxation matters.
- Ensure compliance with Greek accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and support internal and external audits.
- Coordinate communication with suppliers, customers, and external financial partners.
- Collaborate with senior management to improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial reporting efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of proven professional experience in accounting, preferably in a supervisory or accounting management role.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (C2 level).
- Proven experience with SoftOne ERP is required.
- Strong knowledge of Greek accounting standards, taxation, VAT regulations, and myDATA requirements.
- Experience in reviewing tax declarations and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
