Our medical models are specifically designed to be accurate to the anatomy of the body (to 16 micro precision) and can be used for pre-surgical planning as well as for educational and training purposes. 3D Life provides flexibility both in colors and in materials. Our vision includes the expansion to other 3D printing development pillars such as prototyping of medical devices as well as tissue engineering. Job Summary This person will be a critical team member of the Clinical Application Research and Development department of 3D Life SA focusing on 3D printing in medical applications. He /she will team up with technical and clinical research staff in the management of major clinical application and research and development efforts.
Primary Functions
• Develops clinical workflows for the 3D printing program
• Converting CT/MRI/Echo scans to 3D Printable outputs.
• Builds and maintains the database of patient outcomes associated with the 3D printing program
• Passing on any product innovation ideas to the company
• Supports the representation of the 3D program by attending and presenting at regional and national conferences
• Developing and Maintaining relations by meeting surgeons, consultants, radiologists, etc of various segments of the medical field to understand the exact requirements.
• Maintaining follow-ups by emails, calls or visits.
• Supports the liaison with all corporate and academic colleagues on biomedical engineering research projects
• Assists in development of research protocols including writing drafts, conducting literature reviews, and reporting results to internal and external collaborators • Follows all policies and procedures in the conduct of human subject research as directed by Chief Scientific Officer and Commercial Director
• Assists in the preparation of applications, manuscripts, presentations, abstracts, and reports
• Utilizes engineering training and expertise to develop and improve devices for medical/surgical intervention, interfaces, and data collection
• Promotes the program both internally and externally
