Maintenance Technician

Are you an aspired Maintenance Technician with experience in in the railway sector and permanent way systems?

Randstad on behalf of THEMA S.A. the Operation and Maintenance Company managing theThessaloniki Metro Network, is looking for a Maintenance Technician based in Thessaloniki.

The Maintenance Technician will have the following responsibilities:

• Work independently on performing planned and corrective Maintenance activities in your own area
• Responsible for compliance with Technical, Safety, and Quality procedures in carrying out the assigned activities
• Responsible for reporting on the performed activities in the Maintenance Management System (e.g. SAP)
• Responsible for sharing experience, knowledge, know-how, and training of colleagues
• responsible for reporting any safety issues to the nearest manager
• Responsible for only undertaking tasks he is certified and trained in
• Work independently in your area of competence
• Participate in the "FLRT" team (first-line response team) for maintenance of operations and other technical equipment.
• Ensure daily work is conducted in accordance with the applicable regulations, rules, standards, and procedures related to railway safety
• Ensure that daily work is conducted by the applicable regulations, rules, standards, and procedures related to the work environment
• Contribute to and maintain the company quality management system through compliance with the outlined procedure and instructions

The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Technician position must possess:

• Relevant technical qualification (Mechanical)
• Experience in the railway sector and prefer knowledge of permanent way systems
• Minimum 3 years experience after completion of apprenticeship/training
• Must be able to work at all hours – primary Night work
• Experience with IT (Windows, Microsoft Office, SAP or similar)
• Good oral and written English
• Experience in technical-related tasks, including troubleshooting mechanical components
• Driver license category Β
• Ability to initiate and complete tasks and report the results written and orally
• Ability to cooperate with everyone in the department and solve tasks by a combination of his/her owns know-how and that of others (Team work)
