On behalf of our client, a well-established and growing organisation operating in the recruitment, workforce solutions, and employment services sector, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Legal Counsel / Legal Manager to join its team in Athens.
The organisation operates in a dynamic environment involving employment matters, workforce mobility, international recruitment, and interaction with public authorities and external partners.
This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional who wants to move beyond traditional legal execution and take genuine ownership of the legal function, working closely with Management and contributing directly to the organisation's operations and continued growth.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and strengthening the day-to-day operation of the Legal Department, providing practical legal guidance to Management and supporting the wider organisation across employment, immigration, contractual, regulatory, and administrative matters.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership, establish effective processes, anticipate potential issues, manage multiple priorities and act as a trusted legal advisor to senior management.
The ideal candidate combines strong legal knowledge with commercial awareness, organisation, sound judgement, and a practical problem-solving approach.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognised university.
- 3–5 years of relevant professional legal experience.
- Strong knowledge of Greek employment and labour law.
- Experience or strong understanding of immigration, work permits, residence permits and international employment mobility will be considered a significant advantage.
- Previous exposure to corporate legal advisory, employment services, recruitment, immigration, HR, or another operationally intensive environment will be considered an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases, priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative and ownership.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal requirements with operational and business considerations.
- Ability to translate complex legal matters into clear, practical and actionable business advice.
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating with clients, senior executives, external advisors and public authorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
- High level of integrity, discretion, confidentiality and professional responsibility.
- Proactive, structured and solution-oriented approach to work.
