R&D Engineer

• Development of new and optimized cable products
• Analyze the risks associated in the manufacturing and operation of cable products and provide relevant mitigation actions and design adjustments.
• Design advance test rigs and novel protocols in order to determine the lifetime and reliability of a cable product taking into account several types of failure modes and ageing mechanisms
• Technical support and consulting within the company and external customers and follow deadlines delivering on time

The ideal candidate of the R&D Engineer should have:

• BEng in Electrical Engineering
• Preferable specialization in areas such as energy systems, power cables, optimization algorithms, risk assessment and pertinent methodologies
• Good knowledge of COMSOL, ANSYS , Autocad and other design tools
• Very Good use of Matlab programming language
• Fluent in written and spoken English (2nd foreign language is considered an asset)
• 2+ years’ experience in similar position or activities
• Planning and organizational skills
• Teamwork – communication skills
