Adecco is currently seeking on behalf of its client, one of the largest international fashion brands, a dynamic professional to cover the following position: 

Senior Accountant

Job Description:

• Maintain and monitor accounting records in accordance with Greek GAAP and applicable tax legislation
• Process daily accounting transactions, including supplier invoices, customer invoices, journal entries, accruals and adjustments
• Perform General Ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Prepare and review customer and supplier account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Monitor accounts’ receivable balances and perform credit reconciliations
• Prepare daily and monthly cash reports, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring activities
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing procedures, including accruals, prepayments and provisions
• Ensure accurate submission, reconciliation, and maintenance of accounting data in the myDATA platform
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, Intrastat declarations and other statutory reports in accordance with local regulations
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations
• Maintain accurate accounting documentation and ensure compliance with internal controls and company procedures
• Collaborate with local and international teams to support reporting requirements and finance-related projects

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• Three (3) years of relevant working experience in Accounting, preferably within an international or multinational environment
• Strong knowledge of Greek GAAP and Greek tax legislation
• Hands-on experience with invoicing, General Ledger accounting, sub-ledger management, reconciliations and month-end closing activities
• Proven experience with myDATA, VAT reporting and Intrastat submissions
• Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of SoftOne will be considered a strong asset
• Proficient user of MS Office
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required
• German language skills are considered an advantage but not mandatory
• Team-oriented and service-minded, with a proactive and problem-solving approach
