Data Analyst & Programmer
(Thessaloniki or Athens)
Job Description
• Develops and writes computer programs and applications to perform/automate specific tasks related to energy market analysis (e.g. create graphical user interfaces, call executable files, display results)
• Performs data extraction (e.g. from databases, API, etc.), pre-processing, transformation and mining/analysis on energy market-related data, to drive optimization and produce comprehensible data structures for further use
• Defines technical requirements and performs heterogenous system integrations (e.g. integration between Datawarehouse and energy market-related applications)
• Writes code for software patches and bug fixes, performs regular audits to identify software inefficiencies and mastermind ways to improve workflow
• Writes and maintains database programs and scripts
• Performs front-desk for day-to-day wholesale trading/scheduling activities in gas & power based on guidance provided by competent Zenith personnel
• Supports the development of analytical models to simulate the wholesale power and gas market and all related cost components
Απαραίτητα Προσόντα
• Two (2) years of work experience in similar position
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferably computer engineering field)/ Informatics/ Finance/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Statistics or related field
• Master’s degree in programming-related field would be an asset
• Knowledge or experience on power and gas energy markets would be an asset
• Excellent use of English language (both oral and written)
• Very good knowledge of programming languages: Python or Matlab or C# (.NET) or VBA
• Very good knowledge of database structure languages i.e. MySQL
• Familiar with cloud services, preferably Microsoft Azure
• Familiar with data visualization / BI tools
• Programming, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under high pressure
