Job Summary
The responsibility of the Technical Quality Manager (QM) is to maintain, facilitate and ensure quality management and quality assurance in our company. Therefore, the QM is administrating the quality management systems and regulatory standards. The QM promotes actively quality related topics and is embedded in the operations of one of our company’s facilities/sectors, but also part of company´s global operational structure.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance to the applied standards for Quality Management (QMS), Environmental Management (EMS) and Occupational Health and Safety Management (OH&S)
- Ensure the promotion of awareness for quality and customer requirements throughout the organization
- Customer concern management and corrective action process
- Coordinate and supervise quality inspections for incoming-, inline- and outgoing-control
- Report to management on the performance of the QMS, EMS and OH&S and any need for improvement
- Liaise with the external assessment body on all matters related to the external accreditation process (ISO, VDE, UL)
- Ensure control of documents and records within the scope of the QMS, EMS
- Perform internal audits and supplier audits
- Devise and establish a company's quality procedures, standards and specifications
- Review customer requirements and make sure they are met
- Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
- Set standards for our state-of-the-art products’ quality
- Make sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards
- Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
- Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures
- Measure performance and identify any areas of weakness, recommending and implementing improvements
- Liaise with other managers and staff and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards
- Assess the effectiveness of changes made
- Train and manage a team of quality control technicians
