General Purpose of the Role

The Planning & Asset Management Manager (Greece) is responsible for managing all phases of the planning processes across our growing portfolio of real estate holdings in Greece under the leadership of the Planning & Asset Management Director, from projects at existing properties to permitting of future acquisitions (existing and greenfield). The Manager is also responsible for maintaining a detailed database of past and ongoing projects and monitoring their progress from a planning and compliance standpoint, while also addressing existing planning related technical issues and leading initiatives to create value through strategic asset management and maximizing planning potential.

Your main responsibilities

  • Manage the planning processes for all real estate projects in our existing and future portfolio across Greece under the leadership of the Director, including but not limited to:studies & issuance of building permits (construction, renovation, additions, changes of use, landscaping)
  • Regularization of existing structures where necessary
  • Stream management
  • Beach/coastline management
  • Natura zone management
  • Forest land management
  • Archaeological area management
  • Grant/contributions of land to Municipalities
  • Environmental permits (ΑΕΠΟ, ΠΠΔ)
  • Maintain planning record of the Group’s properties’ past and ongoing permits, with all supporting documentation (building permits, revisions & updates thereof, certificates, relevant documents and approvals for all planning issues)
  • Collection, creation and organization of a database of existing properties/structures of the group
  • Addition of new properties as the Group grows
  • Continuously updating and maintaining this database
  • Support the Acquisitions teams with feasibility and business plans for new projects
  • Strategically approach all our real estate holdings, and cooperating with Development, Maintenance, Operations (and other) teams within the Sani/Ikos Group identify ways to create value through new initiatives by proposing planning alternatives and strategies
  • Orchestrate technical due diligence (and coordinate with legal due diligence) of our Group as needed from third parties, including investors and creditors

Your main qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Deep and current knowledge of the legislation governing all the above
  • Prior experience working on projects in the hotel permitting space is required
  • Good financial feasibility understanding is preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required
