Key Responsibilities:
- Recommend food and wine pairings and answer all related inquiries; Present wine menus
- Advise guests on wines based on their personal tastes and food choices; inform guests about different varieties of wines and prices
- Take orders from guests; ensure wines are served at the right temperature and within the proper glassware; store open bottles properly to maintain strong taste
- Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness for all working areas, bar equipment, waste disposal and storage
- Monitor inventory and manage wine cellar; ensure that it is fully-stocked
- Assist employees training about available wines
- Maintain at all times a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene
- Follow all health and safety company regulations; report any maintenance problems to maintenance department
