ICAP Executive Search & Selection on behalf of its client, Thermoilektriki Komotinis (Motor Oil/GEK TERNA JV), is looking for a driven professional for the position of the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis.
Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (Ref. 6111/FPA/ESS/GR)
Role Overview:
Thermoilektriki Komotinis is a joint venture company between Motor Oil Hellas and GEK TERNA. Established in 2021, TK has constructed a modern Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Plant fueled with natural gas, located in the industrial area of Komotini.
As the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, you will be responsible to ensure, in cooperation with the Finance Manager, that a robust financial planning & control framework is in place, including evaluating and providing recommendations on relevant processes and policies.
You will be located in Athens Head Offices and report directly to the Finance Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor the financial planning and controlling process, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and standards.
- Be responsible for budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes, partnering and working closely with TK’s other Departments and Sections.
- Develop, analyze and report KPIs to monitor business performance and provide insights to the Management Team.
- Collaborate with the Finance Manager to establish and ensure that a robust financial control framework is in place and in alignment with relevant regulations and shareholders standards.
- Handle cash flow planning and analysis, working capital management, and monitor the company's financial liquidity and solvency.
- Lead the analysis of financial and operational results, identify trends and risks, and communicate findings.
- Conduct competitor analysis and market trend reviews, presenting insights to senior management.
- Work closely with Accounting to ensure proper accounting treatment and compliance with financial reporting standards.
- Monitor customer and supplier exposure according to relevant policies and guidelines.
- Provide detailed analysis and commentary on new investments and business development projects.
- Propose improvements in financial planning and controlling processes and policies.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years professional experience in relevant finance roles, ideally in the Energy/ Industrial sectors or with Audit/Consulting firms specializing in energy projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field. Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting will be considered an asset.
- CFA, ACCA, ACA or another relevant professional qualification is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Accounting, Audit, IFRS, and relevant standards.
- IT literacy, with experience in SAP is mandatory.
- Fluency in both English and Greek (written and verbal).
- Exceptional numerical and analytical abilities.
- Hands on attitude along with agility at complex start up working environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Results-orientation with strong time management skills
