As a Bartender/Barista at Conrad Athens The Ilisian, you will play a pivotal role in crafting exceptional beverages that enhance our guests’ experience. Your expertise in mixology and coffee preparation will contribute to creating a vibrant atmosphere in our bar and café, where guests can unwind and enjoy meticulously prepared drinks, whether they be cocktails, wines, or specialty coffees. Your ability to engage with guests and personalize their experience will be key to delivering the high standards of service expectations of a luxury property.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a diverse range of beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, coffee, and tea—ensuring high quality and consistency in all drinks.
• Engage with guests, understanding their preferences, and provide personalized beverage recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and café area, complying with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service and delivery of orders.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain efficient bar operations.
• Stay abreast of current trends, drink recipes, and industry developments to continually improve offerings.
• Support the training and cultivation of junior staff and interns to build a knowledgeable and skilled team.
• Participate in creating unique seasonal drink menus and promotional offerings to entice and engage guests.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences through proactive service and attention to detail.
• Handle cash and transactions accurately, ensuring proper reporting and adherence to financial protocols.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a bartender or barista in a luxury hotel or upscale dining environment.
• Strong knowledge of mixology, coffee preparation, and beverage service techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to actively engage guests and build rapport.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills in both Greek and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
