Seasonal Position: May-September (2027)
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Hotel Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our charming 28 room hotel in the beautiful seaside village of Mytikas, Aitoloakarnanias in Western Greece.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys working in a smaller, personalized hotel environment, takes pride in exceptional guest service, and knows how to keep operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily hotel operations, including front desk, reservations, housekeeping, maintenance coordination and guest services
- Manage reservations, room inventory, rates and guest accounts using Cloudbeds Property Management System (PMS)
- Monitor operating expenses, purchasing, supplies and inventory
- Coordinate with ownership on pricing, revenue opportunities, and operational improvements
- Supervise and coordinate staff schedules, performance, and daily assignments
- Oversee continental breakfast service, ensuring quality, cleanliness, presentation, and cost control
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hospitality, and guest satisfaction
- Manage guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints professionally
- Conduct a weekly operations meeting with the hotel owner, reviewing occupancy, revenue, guest feedback, staffing, expenses, operational challenges, and upcoming priorities
- Take a hands-on approach, assisting wherever needed to ensure smooth hotel operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel operations, preferably in a boutique or small-to-medium sized hotel
- Experience with Cloudbeds PMS strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Fluency in Greek and English required
- Ability to manage a small team and multiple responsibilities
- Comfortable with online booking platforms, including Booking.com and Expedia
- Flexible, dependable, and willing to work hands-on during the busy summer season
- Must have the legal right to work in Greece, through EU citizenship or a valid Greek work/residence permit authorizing employment
