Position Overview: As an IT Systems Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our virtualization, Microsoft-based, and backup environments. Your primary responsibilities will encompass VMware administration, Microsoft systems management, and Veeam backup administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- VMware Administration:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere infrastructure.
- Monitor performance, capacity, and health of VMware hosts and virtual machines.
- Implement and manage VMware networking and storage.
- Microsoft Administration:
- Administer Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Manage Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 environments.
- Monitor and optimize system performance and reliability.
- Veeam Administration:
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Veeam Backup & Replication for virtualized environments.
- Perform backup and recovery operations, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Develop and implement backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of IT initiatives with business objectives.
- Participate in IT infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues related to virtualization, Microsoft systems, and backup solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to optimize system performance and security.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in VMware vSphere administration, including ESXi, vCenter.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365.
- Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication or similar backup solutions.
- Solid understanding of networking, storage, and server technologies.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
