Allrounders - Humanitarian Cruises - Netherlands

We are recruiting versatile professionals whose role is called ‘Allrounder’  to work on a humanitarian project = humanitarian support for refugees to be actively integrated into Dutch society.

Your mission will be to support displaced people who need emotional support, in the context of working on a cruise ship. This project is ideal for someone who wishes to develop their career in a cruise ship environment, but with a focus on solidarity and empathy in interacting with diverse audiences.

The cruise ships are mainly located and docked in the Rotterdam area, among other locations in the Netherlands.

The Allrounder is the employee responsible for  the dining room (table service) and housekeeping in the common areas and cabins (rooms, also providing support in other departments such as the kitchen or reception (according to the specific needs of the cruise and the employee's previous professional experience).

• Preferably with professional experience in the hospitality industry (hotel, restaurant, cruise ships).
• Although professional experience is not required (good training plan on board), we will give priority to those who have already performed housekeeping or table service tasks.
• Good level of English, especially in terms of communication.

Ability to work in a team.

IMPORTANT:  contract will be international and signed directly with the cruise company. For this reason, in order for your application to be considered, you must have European Union documentation.

• Initial 7 month contract; then if one wishes Long-term employment.
• Net monthly salary of €2,000. This corresponds to a gross monthly salary of €2,418.62.
• Working week consisting of 5 working days. Entitlement to 2 days off per week.
• Entitlement to holiday leave in accordance with Dutch law. Entitlement to paid holiday leave.
• Accommodation and meals completely free of charge, both on working days and on weekly days off.
• Travel allowance.
