Front End Web Developer

THE ROLE
As a Front End developer in Better Collective, you will be part of a large international tech department, which consists of dedicated and skilled development teams across multiple countries and at the moment is expanding the circle of programmers with a new Front End developer for the branch in Thessaloniki. You will be part of an agile team and work on high traffic websites (~1milion monthly visitors) where you will play a key role in shaping those. Some of our products you will have the chance to work on in the Greek market are betarades.gr, bethome.gr, casinoslot.gr and many others.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Convert mockups to fully functional, pixel perfect websites & apps
• Collaborate with designers & developers in order to deliver end to end features
• Contribute in custom theming on websites (Wordpress)
• Optimize performance & troubleshooting problems that may arise
• Ensure Cross device/browser compatibility and responsiveness
• Take ownership of your tasks & be a team player

• Minimum 1-2 years professional experience as a Web Developer
• Good knowledge of HTML (SEO friendly markup) / CSS (SASS) / JS (vanilla, jquery)
• Good knowledge of PHP (you will work with wordpress)
• Experience in Object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Good experience in consuming REST API’s
• Know how to write clean and refactor the worse code
• Know how to optimize performance, debug & troubleshoot issues on front end
• Experience in build automation tools (Grunt, Webpack) & front end workflow
• Good Knowledge of GIT & comfortable with Unix shell

IDEAL IF

• You can boast your own projects & provide solutions yourself
• Have working experience in unit testing
• You have Experience with full stack javascript (component based frameworks e.g React, Angular) and Node JS
• Experience with Typescript & ES6
• Experience with Mysql & Mongodb
• Experience with Docker, Vagrant containers
