Adecco is currently seeking, on behalf of its client, a leading multinational company, for a dynamic professional to cover the following position:


Assistant Accountant (Imports/ Exports Specialization)

Job Description

• Manages import and export transactions, preparation of proper paperwork and import/export documentation, such as letter of credits, certificates of origin, export permissions
• Verifies vendor certificates and submit appropriate documentation for credit letters
• Generates documentation for credit letters and ensure inclusion of the documentation with shipments to ensure compliance with all export/imports rules and regulations
• Handles import duty expenses and other customs’ related fees
• Daily communication with custom’s brokers, calculation of duties, other taxes and imports’ VAT
• Manage warehouse books, perform monthly reconciliation with TB
• Manages posting of material delivery to projects/warehouse
• Perform three-way match (purchase order-delivery note-invoice)
• Editing and invoice posting of trade payables
• Processes accounts payable transactions, ensuring accurate tracking and processing
• Performs monthly intercompany reconciliation and confirmation with group’s companies
• Follows up of group’s insurance agreements, communication with insurance brokers
• Supports controlling and reporting process, follow internal control procedures

Απαραίτητα Προσόντα

Candidate Profile

• University Degree in Economics or relevant areas
• Broad knowledge of Import/Export processes including customs and quality procedures and 2-3 years of relevant experience in a multinational environment is a plus
• Very good knowledge of local legislation for trade and global regulations
• Strong computer literacy and excellent knowledge of MS Office Excel
• Knowledge of ERP/SAP is a plus
• Excellent command of the English language
• Team oriented personality with very good organizational skills
• Strong sense of responsibility & reliability
