The Oniro Hotels Group is growing.
With 4 active boutique hotel properties in the center of Athens and a 5th property opening in October, we are looking for a Group Sales Manager who will take full ownership of the sales function across the portfolio and play a key role in the next phase of our growth.
This is not a traditional sales role.
It is a high-responsibility, high-impact commercial position for a professional who can combine strategy, business development, market understanding, distribution knowledge and hands-on execution.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue, building partnerships, expanding market presence and shaping the overall commercial direction of the group, across both online and offline sales channels.
Role Purpose
The Group Sales Manager will lead the sales activity of the Oniro Hotels portfolio end-to-end.
From identifying new business opportunities and building strong B2B relationships, to coordinating commercial strategy, monitoring performance and working closely with revenue, reservations and marketing, this person will hold full responsibility for the sales performance of the group.
This is a role for someone who wants to own a sales department, grow with a group and leave a visible commercial footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Commercial Leadership
- Design, implement and continuously improve the overall sales strategy for all Oniro Hotels properties
- Define sales priorities, commercial goals and growth opportunities for each hotel and for the group as a whole
- Identify the right business mix and market segments to optimize performance
- Work closely with management to support the commercial growth and positioning of the brand
- Revenue-Driven Sales Development
- Drive room night production and revenue growth through targeted sales actions
- Monitor production by segment, account, source market and channel
- Analyze trends, pace, pickup and performance data to identify commercial opportunities
- Collaborate with revenue and reservations teams to align pricing, positioning and market strategy
- Online & Distribution Sales
- Support and develop sales across direct and indirect online channels
- Work in close cooperation with digital marketing and distribution teams to improve conversion and booking performance
- Contribute to the commercial optimization of OTAs, direct website bookings, partnerships and other digital channels
- Ensure all commercial actions support both short-term performance and long-term brand value
- Offline Sales & Business Development
- Build and grow strong relationships with:
- corporate accounts
- travel agencies
- tour operators
- luxury travel designers
- DMCs
- consortia and representation partners
- event and MICE partners
- Generate new business through prospecting, outreach, networking and targeted partnerships
- Represent the group in meetings, presentations, trade events and business development opportunities
- Expand the group’s visibility and penetration in key local and international markets
Account Management & Partnerships
- Develop, manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts
- Negotiate commercial agreements and preferred partnerships
- Maintain long-term relationships with key partners and clients
- Ensure proper follow-up, reporting and conversion of opportunities into actual business
Internal Coordination & Commercial Execution
- Coordinate commercial actions across all active properties
- Work closely with operations, reservations, front office, marketing and management teams
- Prepare reports, forecasts and sales action plans
- Track KPIs, evaluate results and adjust strategy where needed
- Contribute to pre-opening commercial planning for upcoming properties
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a commercially sharp, ambitious and highly organized hospitality professional, with the ability to think strategically and act decisively.
The right candidate is expected to bring both sales maturity and growth mindset, with the confidence to take ownership of a portfolio and actively contribute to the expansion of the group.
Requirements
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in hotel sales, business development or commercial roles
- Previous experience in boutique, upscale or luxury hospitality will be considered a strong advantage
- Solid understanding of hotel sales strategy, segmentation and distribution
- Proven ability to generate business through B2B sales and partnerships
- Experience handling both online and offline sales activity
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze performance and turn data into action
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal
- Very good use of Microsoft Office / reporting tools / CRM-style follow-up
- Self-driven, proactive and highly results-oriented personality.
