SENIOR JAVA DEVELOPER

Trenkwalder Hellas is searching on behalf of its client, an international leader in Mobile Advertising and Data Technology, based in Maroussi- Athens, for high caliber talent for the position of Senior Java Developer.

Responsibilities of the role:

·         Build and optimize high performance, low-latency, scalable applications

·         Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle. Participate in design of application's architecture and decide on code patterns

·         Define, implement, maintain and integrate APIs

·         Write well designed, testable, efficient code and assist in providing quality assurance through testing and analysis of the developed products

·         Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications

·         Identify and address performance bottlenecks

·         Prepare and produce releases of software components

·         Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review

·         Preserve & optimize the quality of our applications / products, while proactively ensure the highest level of quality standards in the solutions provided to our customers.

Requirements

 Excellent knowledge of:

·          Java EE , WebSockets,, SOA, REST, Hibernate, JMS,JSON

·          HornetQ, ActiveMQ or other queuing system

·          XML technologies (XSL/XSLT, DOM, Schema, etc)

·          Programming Web services

·          Mysql, MSSQL and relational databases

·          Elastic Search or other NoSQL platforms

·          JavaScript, DHTML, xHTML

·          Hadoop, SPARK

Experience in:

·          EJB 3.1 programming

·          Red Hat JBoss EAP

·          Client/Server Applications

Additional qualifications that will be considered a plus:

·         Hold Bachelor in Science in Information Technology or similar disciplines

·         5+ years of industry experience developing web applications and software

·         Experience in developing multi-tiered solutions in a heterogeneous environment

·         Experience with high volume, high availability systems; testing, metrics and monitoring methodologies

·         Experience developing software for a variety of client platforms including mobile devices

·         Experience in the Linux environment

·         Knowledge of Kannel Messaging gateway
