ICAP Executive Search on behalf of its client, a well-known company operating in the Renewable Energy market is seeking for a Project Development Engineer to join them.

Project Development Engineer -RES

Principal accountabilities:

• Responsible for monitoring the feasibility study and running the licensing process for the construction of RES Projects from the initial stage until completion
• Is familiar with Production License framework and manages all related submissions and amendments, liaises with RAE
• RFP and RFQ development and quoting data evaluation for large scale energy projects
• Manage & coordinate design / engineering consultants to produce complete submission pack for licensing purposes
• Monitor the regulatory framework for RES projects
• Responsible for establishing rapports with ‘public’ authorities (RAE, IPTO, HEDNO, Prefectures, Municipalities, Archaeological authorities, etc.) and draft related correspondence to support submissions
• Provide support to the organization’s strategy formulation and new business development
• Contribute to the management, negotiation, and execution of a range of agreements relating to the company’s project development pipeline

Candidate’s profile:

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental background or in a relevant field
• 3-5 years of experience in licensing and project development background related to RES (wind and solar) projects
• Solid understanding of environmental legislation of technical / Renewable Energy projects
• Follow-up with the main legislative framework around Renewable Energy Projects (4685/2000, 4414/2016, etc.)
• Familiar with Grid Connection processes for RES projects, is competent with Grid Codes and regulations, liaises with IPTO and HENDO
• Closely monitor legislation and up to date with new developments. Is competent with legal documents.
• Familiar with Energy Projects remuneration schemes, understands Energy Market models, and eager to develop skills around the New Target Model
• Experienced with Construction Permitting processes (Building Permit, Small Scale Building Permit)
• Happy to travel for the above purposes
