Role Overview
The Head Waiter/tress ensures that all guests are served according to Brand Standards
in the Restaurant / Bar / Lounge areas. The highest standards of hospitality are always
demonstrated within all food and beverage areas. Takes orders for, serves (when
applicable, prepares) food and beverages for guests in a friendly, timely and efficient
manner.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Ensuring that guests are greeted warmly, seated promptly, and provided with
exceptional service throughout their dining experience
- Overseeing the setting of tables, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the
dining area, and ensuring it meets hotel standards
- Managing guest orders, coordinating with the kitchen staff to ensure timely
delivery of food and beverages, and ensuring orders are served accurately
- Handling guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints efficiently, ensuring
immediate and effective resolution to guarantee satisfaction
- Monitoring and managing inventory of dining supplies and beverages, ensuring
stock levels are maintained and minimizing waste
- Upselling food, beverages & drinks
- Ensuring the implementation of health, safety, and hygiene standards, and
overseeing the maintenance of a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
- Collaborating with other hotel departments, including front desk and
housekeeping, to ensure guests' needs are met beyond the dining experience
Requirements
- 2 years working experience in a similar role in the 5-star hotels or high-volume
venues
- Degree / Diploma in tourism or in a relevant field
- Excellent knowledge of English language. Any additional language will be
considered an asset
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
- Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
