Procurement Officer

We are looking for a Procurement Officer.

Description of the position: Manage office procurement through implementing all procedures related to procurement activities in accordance with ECHO guidelines.

Responsibilities
- Undertake procurement activities covering the pre-award, award, and the post award phases, such as:
a) prepare tender dossier, procurement notice, review and verify technical specifications (services, supplies or works) and launch tender procedure; b) conduct relevant market researches for procurement bid lists c) conduct (participate in) evaluation and write evaluation reports; manage the award and assume the responsibilities for contract management and contract administration.
- Lead the development of a Project Procurement Plan and generate regular updates for ASB Director/Project Manager.
- Develop tools for capturing procurement data and identify progress towards the achievement of procurement schedules
- Participate in project technical committees or component team meetings in order to ensure timely implementation with a focus on procurement related activities
- Coordinate with the Finance Officer for regular preparation of Project Financial Reports
- All other duties as assigned by the Project Manager / Country Director

- University degree or higher education in Finance, Business, Economics or equivalently 7 years  of  working experience in relevant sector
- Profound knowledge in Greek legal framework
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in procurement activities within projects funded by EU                   
- Fluency in both writing and speaking English language
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact and communicate appropriately with office staff
- Experience in the use of computer tools, such as word processing, spreadsheets and database software as well as financial integrated information systems
