Main Duties & Responsibilities:- Gathering data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, and external sources, to build comprehensive datasets for analysis.
- Cleaning and preprocessing data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness, including handling missing values, outliers, and errors.
- Applying statistical and analytical techniques to explore and analyze data, identify trends, correlations, and patterns, and generate meaningful insights.
- Creating visualizations, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards, to communicate findings and present data-driven insights to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
- Generating reports, summaries, and presentations to document analysis results, key findings, and actionable recommendations for decision-makers.
- Building predictive models and forecasting future trends or outcomes based on historical data, using techniques such as regression analysis, machine learning, and predictive analytics.
- Monitoring and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of business processes, initiatives, and interventions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT professionals, and data scientists, to understand business requirements, clarify objectives, and align analytics efforts with organizational goals.
- Staying up to date with advancements in data analytics tools, techniques, and methodologies, and continuously improving skills and knowledge through training, certifications, and professional development opportunities.
Required Education/ Qualifications/ Other Accreditations:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably with exposure to the hospitality or related sectors.
- Expertise in SQL for database querying and data manipulation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
- Strong skills in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik) and familiarity with Python libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib) or R packages (dplyr, ggplot2).
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis, regression analysis, time series forecasting, and machine learning algorithms.
- Knowledge of database management, ETL processes, and experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL databases).
