Περιγραφή

Odyssea A.M.K.E (A Non-Profit Non-Governmental Organization based in Athens - Greece) seeks a Head of Operations - Program Manager for its educational and vocational training programs, in order to ensure the realization of the Organization’s strategic goals through the effective management of project activities (i.e. project design, start-up, implementation and close-out).

Job Description
We are looking for a qualified person who will become a committed core team member able to manage, coordinate the execution and the achievement of our existing and future projects which focus: in providing to vulnerable and excluded groups and communities, targeted education tailored to realistic job opportunities, leading to new roles in the future labour market; as well as in empowering people through essential learning tools to increase self reliance and raise their absorption within existing and future markets 

Responsibilities:

  • Organizes and establishes programs according to organisations vision and mission goals
  • Supervises multiple programs implementation, and acts as a coordinator ensuring smooth implementation, mitigates risks and reports internally directly to the CEO
  • Manages and evaluates a talented interdisciplinary team in a timely manner. Provides strategic guidance to project coordinators and overall team
  • Ensures operational plan is followed and goals (KPI’s set) are met in areas of services provided to beneficiaries, donors and partners
  • He/She is responsible for the design and the preparation of all educational workshops
  • Coordinates and manages the efficient execution of the current work plan and oversees actions in order to ensure the quality and the delivery on time of the relating tasks, narratives, donor reports and working packages
  • Develops and cultivates professional relationships with key partners and other organizations
  • Represents Odyssea A.M.K.E. in partnership meetings with stakeholders, as needed
  • Writes program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services
  • He/She is responsible for the preparation of communication material and execution of presentations to stakeholders and third parties
  • Provides overall supervision, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports
  • Develops and controls deadlines and budgets

Απαραίτητα Προσόντα

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • An ample knowledge of program management techniques and methods and analytical skills
  • Strong ability in strategy, implementation and delegation
  • BSc/BA diploma in management, or university degree in Educational Studies, Engineering, Social Sciences, Political Sciences, or equivalent. MSc/MA is a plus
  • Current residency in Greece and work authorization for Greece required
  • Excellent knowledge of English language written and oral is required; proficiency in other languages will be considered as a plus
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in similar position in humanitarian organization; experience in the domains of strategic priority for Odyssea A.M.K.E. is desired and will be considered as a plus
  • Proficiency in the usage of software packages, including MS Office applications, is required. Special attention to program managing software (Wrike,trello, basecamp, e.t.c) is a strong advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Excellent multitasking, time management, critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills with ability to make sound judgment in rapidly changing contexts
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and service-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including team leading efficiency, patience and a sense of humor, and ability to work well under pressure while juggling multiple tasks simultaneously, are required
