Big Data Azure Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced a Big Data Azure Engineer (contract-based role) to join our team.

Big Data Azure Engineer (5504/BDAE/ESS/GR)

Responsibilities:

• Receive either business requirements or technical design documents and deliver a concrete technical design that reasons about the technical choices and incorporates all the knowledge relevant to the project.
• Implement end-to-end solutions up to the standards of the needs (SLAs, Test coverage, stack compatible, deployment procedures, etc.).
• Support the solution and bug fixing.
• Common use cases include the migration of platforms currently residing in on-prem infrastructure to the Azure ecosystem. This involves deep analysis to understand discrepancies or inefficiencies of the current solution to offer a more concrete and generic solution.

• 3+ years of experience in big data engineering roles, preferably in Azure environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in Databricks for data processing and analytics.
• Experience with Big Data file formats such as Parquet, Delta Lake, Iceberg, etc.
• Strong skills in PySpark for data manipulation and processing.
• Experience in implementing REST APIs for data access and integration.
• Knowledge of C# for development tasks.
• Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS) like MS SQL, Postgres, etc.
• Familiarity with streaming platforms like Kafka, EventHub, etc.
• Proficient in Git for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with the Azure ecosystem including Web Apps, Azure Functions, App Gateway, etc.
