FINANCIAL ANALYST
Role Summary
The Financial Analyst will be actively involved in the preparation of financial reports, budgeting and forecasting processes, as well as ad hoc analyses to ensure the effective management of the company’s financial resources, while also supporting the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Produce daily and weekly sales reports, including analysis by product category
- Support budgeting and financial planning processes
- Assist in developing forecasts for sales, costs, and profitability
- Analyze variances between actual results, budget, and forecasts
- Prepare profitability analysis by product
- Deliver ad hoc financial reports to support business needs
- Participate in monthly closing activities and financial accruals
- Develop and improve reporting tools and dashboards
- Identify opportunities to automate financial processes and reporting
- Perform reconciliations between financial data and retail/supply chain systems (ERP, POS, WMS)
- Ensure accuracy of inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Review and control purchase orders, goods receipts, and supplier invoices
- Monitor stock movements across stores and warehouses, identifying discrepancies and shrinkage
- Identify slow-moving and obsolete stock, supporting clearance and markdown decisions
- Support the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department
