Seafarer Cruising & Sailing Holidays is looking for a Base Coordinator to join our team on a permanent/ongoing basis, with practical technical and sailing knowledge.
Role Overview
The Base Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of one of our bases in Greece, ensuring consistently high standards of service, safety and presentation across the fleet and throughout all guest-related operations.
The role requires strong practical experience, excellent organisational skills and the ability to effectively coordinate daily operations in close collaboration with the wider Seafarer team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the base
- Coordinate crew changeovers and yacht turnaround operations, ensuring yachts are prepared on time and to the required standard
- Manage the base’s stock, spare parts and equipment
Customer Service
- Conduct guest check-ins and check-outs
- Ensure customer service is delivered in accordance with the company’s Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Standards
- Handle guest enquiries and issues professionally and efficiently
Yacht Maintenance
- Carry out and oversee routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and basic repairs
- Ensure yachts are kept in excellent condition, clean and fully prepared for charter
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain records, reports and operational documentation
- Work closely with the Operations, Sales, Accounts and Management teams as required
Local Partnerships
- Coordinate with port authorities, suppliers and local partners
- Represent Seafarer professionally in all local dealings and interactions
Skills & Experience
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills, with a focus on safety and attention to detail
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Practical sailing experience and a basic understanding of yacht maintenance "
