Senior Electrical Engineer (Energy Sector) – Ref. 6268/EEP/ESS/GR

Job Overview

The role focuses on the electrical design, implementation, and operation of renewable energy projects. It covers the full project lifecycle from design and development to construction and long-term operation, while the position is based at the company’s headquarters in Kalamaria, Thessaloniki.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and technical assessment of hydropower plants and electricity storage projects.
• Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and restore electrical faults, coordinating on-site interventions with internal and external partners.
• Plan and supervise maintenance activities on substations, protection and control systems, automation, and related electrical installations.
• Propose and implement technical improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and operational continuity of electrical systems.
• Participate in the development of new projects within their area of responsibility, ensuring timely technical input and follow-up on all required permits and approvals.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Master’s Degree in renewable energy, hydropower, pumped storage and/or electrical energy storage systems will be considered a strong asset.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in power generation, transmission, distribution, or hands-on experience in the maintenance of industrial plants or facilities.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Proficiency in MS Office and engineering-related software (e.g. grid studies, protection, CAD tools).
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel when required.
