Mechanical Design Engineer

An established, export-oriented industrial company specialising in the design and manufacture of industrial cooling equipment is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for its Athens office.

The role will focus on the design and development of new industrial cooling products, as well as the continuous improvement of existing equipment.

Responsibilities will also include engineering calculations and the preparation of technical selections, proposals and quotations based on customer requirements.

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering
• MSc in Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer or a related field
• One to two years of relevant professional experience in mechanical design, industrial cooling equipment or a related field
• Sound knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and evaluate technical design alternatives
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Initiative, accuracy and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to organise work effectively and contribute to multiple development projects
