In Unismack SA we are We are looking for a Food Technologist to join our FSQR team and play a vital role in ensuring that all finished products and raw materials meet internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role acts as a key link between production, engineering, and quality, contributing directly to product compliance, integrity, and continuous improvement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely product testing based on the annual quality plan; identify non-conformities and propose corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct routine internal audits of production operations to assess compliance and areas for improvement.
- Troubleshoot quality issues in collaboration with production and engineering teams.
- Maintain customer and regulatory product specification systems (e.g. Kosher, Vegan, Non-GMO).
- Plan and oversee implementation of testing protocols for raw materials and finished goods.
- Participate in internal and external audits (e.g. third-party, customer-specific, mock recalls).
- Collaborate with FSQR and hygiene teams to ensure traceability, product safety, and continuous compliance.
- Stay updated with current food industry legislation, food microbiology, and compliance trends
- Provide technical guidance to production, procurement, and leadership on food safety and quality standards.
