Job Summary
Assists
Water Sports team with day to day running and operation of Water Sports
department ensuring all equipment is in good working order and amenities such
as towels and water are readily available for guest use. Is able to engage with
guests and easily inform them of the activities available and convert to
bookings. Completes any additional tasks as assigned by the Assistant/Water
Sports Manager from time to time.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for set up of Water Sports area prior to opening – ensures
radios, booking request log, disclaimer forms, guest towels, bottled water are
available and ready to use
- Checks cleanliness of guest seating area, ensuring table and chairs as
well as guest lockers are free of sand/dust and are all in good working order
- Ensures towels are placed out for guest use, and are replenished
throughout the day as required
- Responsible for
cleanliness of boats – free of rubbish, seating are free of dirt and tears
- Completes set up
for trips on board boats – ensure water, towels are fully stocked
- Responsible for
completing close down of Water Sports at the end of the day – removing used
towels and returning to laundry, ensure office equipment is stored away neatly
ready for the following day
- Is able to converse
with guests easily about all activities available at Water Sports
- Is able to take
bookings for all Water Sports activities ensuring they do not conflict with any
current reservations
- Participates
in required training related to the job
- Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient
manner in accordance with established Resort’s Policies and Procedures
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
- Successfully
completed O or A levels
- 2
years’ experience in a similar position at another resort/hotel
- To effective
communicate and maintain a favorable
working relationship with colleges at all levels.
- Assure professional
attitude towards guest and colleges at all times.
