Role Purpose:
As a Cook you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, ensuring that all food meets our strict standards of taste and presentation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment (mise en place).
- Cooking & Execution: Cook dishes according to our menu recipes, portion sizes, and presentation specifications.
- Quality Control: Ensure all food items are fresh, properly prepared, and cooked to the correct temperature.
- Kitchen Safety & Hygiene: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace adhering to food safety (HACCP) regulations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor food stock levels, report shortages, and ensure proper rotation and storage of ingredients (FIFO method).
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team (Head Chef, Sous Chef, and kitchen stewards) to ensure smooth service and timely ticket times.
- Maintenance: Properly clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils after use.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Cook, Line Cook, or Prep Cook in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel environment.
- Education: A degree or diploma from a culinary school is a strong plus but not mandatory if backed by solid experience.
- Ability to work under pressure, strong time-management skills, and a positive team player attitude.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot kitchen environment.
