Project Manager

Job Description

• Responsible for the overall coordination, planning, and execution of conferences
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define the conference theme, goals, and objectives
• Develop a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements
• Select and liaise with speakers, presenters, and panelists
• Secure event venues, accommodations, and catering services
• Plan and oversee the conference program, including sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities
• Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for participants, if applicable
• Arrange for conference materials, badges, and other supplies
• Ensure that audiovisual equipment and technical support are in place for presentations
• Manage registration processes and attendee communications
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to optimize costs
• Ensure a smooth flow of sessions and activities

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., event management, education, international relations or accounting/finance would be an asset
• Excellent command in English (oral & written skills)
• Proven experience in project management and event planning
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Attention to detail and punctuality
• Good grasp of what a scientific/ professional association
• Time management skills & Problem solving attitude
• Ability to attend on-line meetings after normal business hours (accommodating around the globe time zones)
