Energy Scheduler

Randstad is looking for a Energy Scheduler on behalf of ZeniΘ, the 1st provider of integrated energy in Greece, with natural gas and electricity!

As an Energy Scheduler, you will report to the Head of Portfolio Manager and more specifically your duties will be the following:

• Perform front-desk for day-to-day wholesale trading / scheduling / bidding activities in gas & power
• Perform spot trading (auctions, continuous trading, bilateral transactions) in gas & power
• Develop forecasting and portfolio optimization models pertinent to the energy market
• Execute the short-term sourcing optimization process in gas & power
• Perform logistics (e.g. capacity booking)
• Perform nomination and trade notification processes in gas & power
• Communicate with counterparties, market operators, power exchanges, TSOs and auction offices for daily trading activities
• Work with large datasets and program applications to automate tasks related to energy market analysis
• Perform research and wholesale energy market analysis

The ideal candidate for the Energy Scheduler position is a professional with:

• BSc or Diploma degree in Engineering / Finance / Economics / Mathematics / or related field
• A Master’s degree in the Energy Markets, Economics or Informatics sector is an asset
• Strong programming skills (previous knowledge of Python, Matlab, C# (.NET), VBA, or similar), in addition with experience in machine learning algorithms
• Good knowledge of database structure languages, such as MySQL, is a plus
• Excellent command of the English language, both verbally and written
• Computer literacy (MS Office, Internet)
• 1 - 2 years of working experience in a similar position
• Excellent analytical skills and decision making skills
• Exceptional data management skills
• Excellent presentation & communication skills
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Multitasking skills
• Self- driven personality
• Credibility and professionalism
