ICAP Executive Search, on behalf of its client, a Global Leader in the Shipping Industry, is looking for an Internal Auditor who will be instrumental in ensuring operational, financial, and compliance integrity across international agency offices.

Internal Auditor (5967/IAU/ESS/GR)

Responsibilities:

Audit Planning & Preparation

• Review documentation from previous audits and current agency materials.
• Gather insights and data from multiple HQ departments.
• Design a customized audit plan focused on high-risk business areas.

Audit Execution

• Travel to international agency locations to gather evidence, interview teams, and perform audit testing.
• Support senior auditors in evaluating internal controls, risk management, and business processes.
• Contribute to thorough audit documentation and reporting using internal templates and tools.

Post-Audit & Reporting

• Draft detailed observations and practical recommendations.
• Collaborate on audit reports and assist in follow-ups with agency teams.
• Help prepare high-level summaries for the Board of Directors and executive management.

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in internal or external auditing.
• A Master’s degree in Auditing, Finance, or Business Management.
• Familiarity with the shipping/logistics sector or prior experience in a B2B international auditing role is a plus.
• Strong analytical capabilities and advanced Excel skills; ERP (SAP) proficiency preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English; other languages are a plus.
• A curious mindset and proactive attitude toward continuous improvement.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 50% of the time.
