Data Center Shift Engineer

Job Description

• Provides 1st level support for Data Centre colocation services.
• Diagnoses and solve connectivity issues
• Tests cables and capacity services using Digital Transmission Analyzers (IP/OTN/SDH)
• Manages Trouble Tickets and Service Requests by customers
• Monitors the Data Centre infrastructures (Power, cooling, etc) and engaging the respective specialized team
• Manages all site visitors access and logistics (Physical access requests, escort to rack, reception/dispatch/storage of equipment, etc.)
• Provides 1st level monitoring of network devices (Firewalls, routers, switches)

Candidate Profile

• University degree (AEI or TEI) in Computer Science or Telecommunications 
• Previous working experience in technical support will be a plus 
• Previous experience in technical customer support or Service Management (ITIL) will be considered as an asset 
• Junior knowledge in Networking will be considered an asset 
• Excellent use of the English language 
• Ability to work on 24/7 rotating shifts
• Communication and interpersonal skills
