client, one of the largest international fashion brands, for a dynamic
professional to cover the following position:
HR & Payroll Generalist
Job Description:
- Collaborate with external payroll providers to ensure
timely and accurate payroll execution
- Process and validate payroll for all employees in
compliance with legal and internal regulations
- Prepare and report taxes, social contributions and
other payroll-related obligations to authorities
- Provide advice and support to managers in salary and
benefits matters
- Ensure compliance with laws, collective agreements and
internal company policies
- Keep up to date with legal and regulatory developments
affecting payroll
- Handle labour law issues and maintain contact with
trade unions
- Support managers in HR-related matters, including
recruitment, onboarding and employee relations
- Develop, implement, and improve HR policies and procedures
- Maintain personnel files, ensuring accuracy,
confidentiality and GDPR compliance
- Keep up to date with labour law, regulations and
HR-related trends
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Health
& Safety and other departments
- Emphasize and promote a service-oriented culture
across departments and stores
- Organize and distribute work within HR and payroll
functions
- Maintain close cooperation with the HR department in Germany,
employer associations and other external partners
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
- Three (3) years of relevant working experience in HR and payroll administration, ideally in the Retail Industry
- Practical experience in payroll processing, reporting to authorities and working with external payroll providers
- Solid knowledge of Greek Accounting standards
- Very good knowledge of the Greek legislation and financial systems
- Familiarity with HR systems, timekeeping software and payroll applications
- Proficient user of MS Office (particularly Excel) and HR/payroll tools
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required
- German language skills are considered an advantage but not mandatory
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities and capacity to maintain positive employee relations
- Team-oriented and service-minded, with a proactive and problem-solving approach
