The Role:
Maintenance Oversight
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify and address maintenance needs promptly
Staff management
- Recruit, train and supervise maintenance staff
- Schedule maintenance shifts and allocate tasks effectively
- Provide guidance and support to staff, promoting a positive work environment
Inventory Management
- Maintain an inventory of equipment, tools and supplies necessary for maintenance tasks
- Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed
- Ensure cost effective solutions
Emergency Response
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments
- Address emergency situations, such as power outages of water leaks, to minimize disruptions
Vendor Management
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance services
- Obtain quotes, negotiate contracts and oversee contractor work quality
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure the hotel compiles with local regulations and safety standards
- Coordination of actions to apply the hotel environmental policy and goals
- Conduct regular safety inspections and train staff on safety procedures

- At least 3 years' experience in a similar position
- Previous experience in seasonal hotels
- Knowledge of English language
- Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or equivalent technical school
- Ability to organize and carry out work in a short time frame
- Insight and ability to deal effectively with emergency situations
- Ability to communicate and work with many different partners
- Attention to detail and flexibility
