 Description

Porto Platanias Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Service Manager to oversee the daily service operations and coordinate the restaurant service team.

The Service Manager works closely with the F&B Manager and Assistant F&B Manager, focusing on smooth service operations, compliance with service standards and effective team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the daily operation of the restaurants and checks the readiness of the areas before each service, including cleanliness, mise en place and compliance with established procedures.
• Coordinates the service team, assigns daily tasks and monitors attendance, professional appearance, performance and compliance with operational procedures.
• Monitors the service flow and ensures speed, quality and proper guest service.
• Checks the presentation and availability of buffets, where applicable, and ensures that staff are properly informed about menus, products and allergens.
• Monitors and implements the required HACCP procedures, ensures compliance with food hygiene and safety standards, and oversees the proper completion of required forms and checks.
• Monitors the use of service equipment, tableware and consumables and reports shortages, damages or operational issues.
• Ensures compliance with hygiene, cleanliness and professional appearance standards throughout the service areas.
• Reports to the Assistant F&B Manager and F&B Manager on staffing, operational, HACCP and guest complaint matters, as well as other departmental needs.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in a similar position such as Service Manager, Restaurant Manager, Maître or another supervisory role within hotel F&B operations.
• Proven experience in restaurant operations and service team management.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant procedures, service standards and basic HACCP principles.
• Strong organizational, coordination and team leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a guest-oriented approach.
• Good command of English. Additional foreign languages will be considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic restaurant operational procedures
• Ability to work on a rotating schedule and move between the hotel properties according to operational needs.
