Job Role : As a Childcare Assistant in a hotel's Kids' Club, your primary responsibility is to provide a safe, enjoyable, and engaging environment for children staying at the hotel. You will assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, ensuring the well-being of children, and offering parents peace of mind during their stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Childcare Supervision: Supervise and monitor the well-being and safety of children in the Kids' Club.
- Maintain a child-to-staff ratio in accordance with hotel policies.
- Ensure a secure environment and respond to emergency situations promptly.
- Activity Planning: Assist in planning and organizing creative and educational activities for children of varying age groups.
- Prepare and set up play areas and equipment for scheduled activities.
- Facilitate group and individual activities that encourage learning and social interaction.
- Child Engagement: Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for children and their families.
- Interact with children, engage in play, and provide assistance with crafts and games.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment to promote children's development.
- Basic Needs Care:
- Attend to children's basic needs, including feeding, diaper changes, and restroom breaks.
- Ensure that children have access to snacks and beverages as needed.
- Encourage proper hygiene and cleanliness.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with parents, guardians, and hotel staff.
- Relay important information about a child's day, including activities and any concerns.
- Address parents' questions and provide updates on their child's well-being.
- Safety and Cleanliness:
- Ensure all play areas and equipment are clean, safe, and in good working order.
- Conduct routine safety checks and follow hotel safety procedures.
- Monitor and control access to the Kids' Club to maintain a secure environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Childcare or education-related certifications are a plus.
- Experience in childcare, babysitting, or working with children in a structured environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of Greek and English languages. Third language will be considered accordingly.
- Exceptional communication (both verbal and written), negotiation and administrative skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure with provided resources, manage work load using own initiative and sufficiently cover a multi task position.
- Availability to work in shifts
