Job Description: As a Restaurant Captain, you will oversee the dining room operations, lead a team of servers, and ensure the smooth flow of service. Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming guests with warmth and hospitality, and escorting them to their tables
• Managing the seating process to optimize table turnover and ensure efficient use of dining space
• Supervising and coordinating the activities of the waitstaff to ensure exceptional service standards are maintained
• Taking and relaying orders accurately to the kitchen and bar, and ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages to guests
• Addressing guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests promptly and courteously
• Assisting in training and mentoring new staff members and providing ongoing coaching and support to the team
• Monitoring dining room cleanliness and ambiance and ensuring adherence to sanitation and safety standards
• Collaborating with the kitchen and bar teams to coordinate food and beverage service and resolve any issues that may arise
• Handling guest feedback and complaints professionally and taking appropriate steps to resolve any issues to the guest's satisfaction
• Assisting with administrative tasks such as inventory management, scheduling, and staff performance evaluations

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a fine dining restaurant setting
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a genuine passion for hospitality
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, and to make quick and effective decisions
Knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including wine pairings and cocktail selections
Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of service and professionalism
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Certification in food safety and sanitation (preferred but not required)
