Περιγραφή

Description: A leading company in the mass catering industry, is investing in its growth and is seeking a dynamic and experienced Unit Manager to meet the needs of efficient operation of its production unit in Thessaloniki.

Your Role: As Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the unit, from production planning to quality control. You will work closely with your team and other departments of the company to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of our processes. You will face challenges such as optimizing productivity, ensuring quality, and implementing new technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement the unit's strategic objectives.
  • Oversee all phases of the production process, from raw material preparation to final packaging.
  • Determine best practices to optimize production.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to increase efficiency.
  • Ensure product quality and safety according to international standards (HACCP, ISO).
  • Optimize processes and resources to achieve production goals.
  • Manage, guide, and develop the production team.
  • Create a positive and productive work environment.
  • Implement training and evaluation programs for personnel.
  • Implement strict hygiene and safety standards.
  • Continuously monitor and improve quality processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and legislation.
  • Manage the unit's budget.
  • Collaborate with other departments of the company.
  • Handle emergencies and make decisions under pressure.

Απαραίτητα Προσόντα

Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in a relevant scientific field (Food Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry or related field).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a managerial position in the food industry, with a focus on production and quality management. Previous experience in the ready-meals industry will be considered an additional advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of food production, quality assurance (HACCP), food safety management systems (ISO 22000) and EU regulations.
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams, develop talent and create a productive work environment.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, make data-driven decisions and propose improvement actions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to organize and plan work effectively, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and effectively address changes.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, production software and data analysis tools (e.g. MS Office, statistical packages).
