In a nutshell:
As one of the first points of contact with the guests entering
our Restaurant, a host-ess sets the stage for our guests’ dining experience at
Daios Cove. Being able to manage a lively waiting area, you need a friendly
demeanour, organizational skills, and empathy to keep everyone happy.
In your department:
- Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner.
- Ensure that
guests are seated and provided with menus promptly.
- Monitor restaurant
activity to coordinate seating and dining flow.
- Assists others with side work
including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
- Ensure that all guests’ requests and queries are responded to promptly and
effectively and an exceptional service is always delivered to guests.
- Ensure
the restaurant areas are clean and always presented well and coordinate
cleaning and housekeeping duties as required.
- Deal with guest complaints in a
friendly and efficient manner, always ensuring guest satisfaction and ensure
that any guest complaints and comments are reported to management.
- Assist in
the set up and preparation and might need to assist with F&B service duties
when needed.
- Any other duties as directed by the Restaurant & Bar Manager
or other member of the management team.

Skills and Qualifications that will help you go beyond your role:
- Experience of working in a similar role and/or environment (preferably in a
luxury hotel restaurant).
- Good knowledge of English.
- High standard of
personal presentation.
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills with a
confident and outgoing personality and an ability to interact with people at
all levels.
- Courteous and pleasant attitude towards guests and colleagues.
