Financial Accountant

Adecco is currently seeking on behalf of its client, a global power and renewable energy leader, for a dynamic professional to cover the following position: 

Financial Accountant 

Job Description:

• Manage the bookkeeping of all entities in Greece in collaboration with an external accounting provider
• Execute the month-end closing process, including preparation of reconciliations and workbooks from Greek GAAP to IFRS for corporate reporting
• Perform monthly analysis of revenues, billings, operating expenses and accruals, ensuring accuracy and timely recharges to third parties
• Collaborate daily with technical and asset management teams to support accounting and administrative operations
• Review and validate tax calculations in coordination with the tax advisor and ensure timely submission to tax authorities
• Reconcile VAT across all entities and subsidiaries
• Manage cash flow and expenditures, preparing weekly reports for the finance team and ensuring compliance with project finance requirements
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors and other key stakeholders to resolve finance-related issues
• Support investment reporting, due diligence and loan compliance requirements, including coordination with banking partners
• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements, statutory audits and ensure compliance with local accounting and legal regulations
• Handle ad hoc financial and regulatory requests promptly and professionally

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent subject
• Relevant working experience of at least 2-5 years
• Solid knowledge of Greek Accounting standards
• Familiarity with IFRS principles is considered an asset
• Very good knowledge of the Greek legislation and financial systems
• Knowledge or experience with Oracle Fusion (preferred) or other ERP systems
• Proficient in MS Office
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
• Strong technical background and proven experience in audit and financial statement preparation
• Ability for independent work, initiative-taking and team support
• Integrity and responsibility in handling confidential and sensitive information
