The Senior Network Engineer position is full time and permanent, based in Athens.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will shape and elevate high-performance network environments through the following key duties:

• Design, implement, and maintain resilient Layer 2/Layer 3 large-scale enterprise and data center network infrastructures.
• Manage and optimize advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS) in an ISP environment, applying network policy templating and operational best practices.
• Enforce network security best practices, including robust ACLs, network segmentation, secure routing policies, and VPN technologies (IPsec, GRE).
• Implement and manage WAN/SD-WAN solutions across distributed environments while supporting seamless hybrid cloud connectivity with platforms like AWS and Azure.
• Drive operational efficiency by developing network automation solutions using Python, Ansible, REST APIs, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Conduct deep packet analysis, perform diagnostic troubleshooting, and track performance using telemetry, NetFlow, SNMP, and modern observability platforms.
• Participate in high-availability strategy planning, capacity management, cross-functional project delivery, and occasional presales engagements.

To excel as a Senior Network Engineer, you will bring the following background and skill set:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience designing, operating, and maintaining large-scale enterprise or service provider network infrastructures.
• Working understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards, specifically ISO 27001 and PCI DSS.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a proven track record of resolving complex, high-level network issues under operational conditions.
• Fluency in English
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
