Housekeeping Manager
Location: Thessaloniki
Position Summary
The Housekeeping
Manager will have to manage and supervise all housekeeping employees and
procedures with a view to maximizing guest satisfaction and recommend ways to
solve all relevant problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the daily
activities of the housekeeping to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Assign regular and special
duties, create staff schedules, anticipate staffing needs, and ensure adequate
coverage across all areas
- Participate in hiring,
onboarding, and training processes; assess training needs; conduct performance
evaluations; and support continuous staff development
- Prepare and monitor the annual
housekeeping budget; manage costs related to guest supplies, cleaning products,
uniforms, and linen inventory
- Develop, update, and enforce
housekeeping policies and procedures in alignment with organizational
standards, including planning rotational duties for staff
- Perform thorough inspections of
guest rooms, public areas, and laundry operations to maintain exceptional
quality and cleanliness standards
- Ensure prompt, professional
handling of guest requests and complaints; maintain discretion and uphold
confidentiality protocols
- Prepare reports and
documentation for management; ensure departmental compliance with company
standards and operational requirements
- Maintain a calm, organized, and
professional demeanor, especially in high-pressure or stressful situations,
while fostering a positive work environment
Requirements:
- Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management
- Minimum 3 years experience in a
similar position preferable within a 5* property in the hospitality industry
- Excellent knowledge of English language
- Computer literacy and experience in Opera
/ Fidelio programs
- Outstanding communication skills,
strong leadership, stress management and organizational abilities
- Pleasant personality with
enviable customer service skills, passionate about the job and focused on
providing high quality results
