Hotel Financial Analyst

Job Information

Office Location: Sani Resort (operating months) & Thessaloniki (non-operating months), Greece
Department: Controlling
Contract: Full Time / Permanent

Your main responsibilities

  • Act as a Finance Business Partner and support the Hotel Managers during Budgets/Reforecasts and Cost control monitoring
  • Assist in the preparation of Budgets/Reforecasts and monitor the performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) to facilitate robust and proactive reporting
  • Monitor variances of Actual results vs budget for all key revenue and expense categories. Assist Hotel Manager with reporting and ad-hoc requests
  • Review classification of expenses and cost centers in the ERP
  • Review purchase orders for correct cost categorization
  • Investigate and provide supporting documentation to accounting department for accruals
  • Liaise with Horizontal departments to enhance a proactive cost control process and ensure risks are reported to the HMs and the Controller
  • Contribute in accuracy, quality control and integrity of financial transactions and reporting

Required Education/ Qualifications/ Other Accreditations

  • 2 - 3 years of relevant work experience (financial analyst, costing professional) ideally in Hospitality Finance
  • A University degree in Accounting or Finance is required
  • A professional qualification (ACCA, IESOEL, CIMA) will be considered a strong asset
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, ERP (Entersoft)
  • Excellent command of the English language is a must (verbal and written)
  • Experience in Big 4 or/other Audit firm is a strong asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Business acumen, results orientation, integrity and trust
