Position Summary
The Sales
Manager leads the sales team to drive MICE and group business, securing new
accounts and growing existing partnerships. Responsible for achieving revenue
targets, this role develops sales strategies, builds strong client
relationships, positions the properties as a top choice for meetings, events,
and group travel and reports to the Sales Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and motivate the
sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Develop and implement sales
strategies to grow MICE and group business; engage with potential clients
through personal outreach, phone calls, emails to build and nurture
relationships
- Represent the group at major trade
shows, networking events, and sales missions, conduct sales representation in
the market, perform day-to-day sales, promote the property and secure new
business opportunities
- Negotiate prices and terms with
clients, prepare sales contracts and memos, and secure bookings
- Formulate strategic plans to
grow business thorough Wholesalers and Travel Advisors
- Work closely with the sales and
marketing management to develop strategies that maximize RevPAR and increase
market share
- Collaborate with the marketing
department to create effective sales and marketing support materials
- Conduct regular reviews of travel
agencies websites and content related to the hotels
- Stay fully informed about new
products, competitor activities, and market trends; strengthen networking and
relationships with key industry players
- Conduct site inspections of the
property with new or existing partners, show rooms, banquet facilities, and other
hotel facilities for business meetings, MICE, Wedding’s and special events
- Ensure satisfaction by
communicating with the client throughout the event regarding any changes,
substitutions or special requests; assisting banquet staff throughout the event
as needed; follow up with event host at the conclusion of the event
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in
a similar position in the luxury hospitality industry or in any other relevant sales
department
- BS/MS Degree in business
administration or a related field; Excellent knowledge of Greek and English
language
- Availability to travel
- Strong business sense and
industry expertise, excellent communication skills
- Must be highly organized,
efficient and detail-oriented, focused on accomplishing high quality results
