Περιγραφή

On behald of our client, a 5* Resort in Folegandros with 25 Suites & 2 Villas , we are recruiting a Sous Chef for this summer season.


As Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in the culinary operations of our resort, working closely with the Executive Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests. You will be responsible for assisting in menu development, overseeing kitchen operations, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a creative flair, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering excellence in every dish. The resort is collaborating with Executive Consultant Chef Mr. Lazarou.

The Role:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in planning and implementing menu concepts that reflect the resort's culinary vision and showcase local ingredients.
  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow during service periods.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain inventory levels, minimize waste, and maximize profitability.
  • Monitor food quality and consistency, conducting regular tastings and inspections to uphold our commitment to excellence.
  • Implement and enforce safety and sanitation standards in accordance with local regulations and industry best practices.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting open communication and teamwork among kitchen staff.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, continually seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement.

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a luxury hospitality environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and food safety standards.
  • Creative flair and a passion for culinary innovation, with a keen eye for detail and presentation.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the hospitality industry.
  • Fluent in Greek & English.
